Good food and service. They have their own butcher area and you can choose your steak, but for lunch I normally get the salad bar. Vegetables, salad, fruit and bread all seem fresh. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it for kids, just seems like a good place for adults

This is one of the top restaurants in Houston. Prior reservations is a good recommendation. They serves good oysters for starters, salads and gumbo soup. Main courses include the steaks, fish and crab cake. Dessert worth trying is the flambé banana. Good service as well as wide wine selection

Classic Houston restaurant. Seafood, steaks with a cajun flair. High class atmosphere, awesome cuisine with exceptional service.

I had scallops. They should have gave more since the dish was expensive amd mainly rice.( At other places you could get 2 meals for the price here). The scallops were not as hot in temperature as I would expect, so rating them a 3, but they were good.

We were a party of three, WITH RESERVATIONS, placed in a small upstairs room with a noisy 12+ all-women banquet table, no view of any kind. The food: person #1: overcooked breast of duck. Person #2: soup and salad only, soup arrived lukewarm, salad was common lettuce with very little else in it. Person #3: redfish not up to fresh smell or taste test snuff, asked to trade the included vegetable for another, any other, and the answer was 'no, it has to be just like it is, in the box!' There was absolutely no hint of the stately dependable Brennan's of old. The only similarity was price - but way too high for this time around! One star to be nice.

Brennan’s is a Houston landmark. It is always wonderful. The service is impeccable. It is be of my absolute favorite spots for fine dining in Houston. The turtle soup, filet, anything with crawfish, banana’s foster and the bread pudding soufflé are some of my favorites.

Visited today for brunch after being away for several years. I would have given 5+ stars but unfortunately my absolute go to favorite is the turtle soup was cold...room temp at best pretty disappointed..i thought maybe they would light the sherry but that didn't happen either. Oh well...we had a wonderful time enjoyed the trio music , brunch and bananas foster.Thank you to all.

The private patio and party room were decorated beautifully. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was hot and well-prepared. I will definitely return. The added bonus was the melt-in-your-mouth pralines that you get as a treat upon leaving.

Went here for Houston Restaurant Week and it was such a wonderful experience! From the ambience, to our waiter, and the food! The food was delicious! Had to pocket some pralines on the way out. Overall, such a great experience and great night. This is our go to spot from now on for our anniversary.

Our first time here and it was a wonderful experience. All the staff from the hostess who greeted us and the guy who brought our bread and the wine server were very friendly and chatty. Our waitress Nina was very knowledgeable about the menu items and recommended the duck when the item I had come to taste (the lamb combo) was unfortunately not available.The food was tasty and delicately balanced in flavour. My wife and I rarely get to go out on a date with differing schedules and two young kids, but we had a truly wonderful experience.

Crazy good. Very elegant. A little too southern white establishment for my progressive nature. Hostess was gorgeous. Staff was smart and industrious. Perfect room temperature. One of the best.

We come here for birthday celebration. The gumbo soup is wonderful and sea food are proper seasoned and tasted great. The service is first class. The lunch menu is not as expensive as we thought. We will come back in the future for sure.

We had a great table with a view, the overall ambiance was great for valentine's day. Of course it was a packed house, but even with the live music and background noise, my wife and I had no problems conversing. The only slight and I mean I'm being very picky, was the preset valentine's menu. I was just a little underwhelmed with our selections, especially dessert. My beignets were tough and my wife's souffle was overcooked and heavy on dessert spices. Service was the star of the night, both our waiters were top notch. Looking forward to coming back on a normal night to try out the regular menu items.

Wonderful experience, food, service and atmosphere! My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary. They acknowledged and congratulated us at the host stand, the table and on the rim of our dessert. The staff is very attentive. Well paced meal. The shrimp prepared table-side was fun, and also delicious.

An upscale, fine dining creole restaurant. We celebrated my sister's birthday here. I had their pork tenderloin dish with mashed potatoes. It was tender and flavorful, but for some reason I expect more. For special occasions or any occasion, you should try this restaurant at least once.

We had a great time celebrating a birthday. The frog legs were huge. The oxtails weren't what we expected. The steak could be cut w a butter knife and was divine. Service excellent and attentive for the most part. Unlike many restaurants nowadays, they seated us before our full party arrived. That was great. No hassle. It was a bit odd how they separated our drinks from our food on 2 different bills and taxed each... separately. But they combined them w one tax once we gave our cards to Francisco (love him).It's been awhile since I've been to Brennan's and I will definitely go back and recommend it to others. Few things are better than an upscale place that doesn't act like it's better than its patrons.

Brennan's of Houston impressed my party and I on everything: delicious food, excellent service and elegant location. We were setup in the bar area (I couldn't get in the main dining area wearing shorts) but we received the same full menu experience and almost a personal waiter for us. I want to stress how our server was attentive to our needs (i.e. getting us some off the menu chopped fruit for our baby). We enjoyed our Sunday brunch and we are looking forward to trying their dinner items next time we are in town.

I came here for date night a few months ago. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly. They have an impressive wine list as well as a full cocktail menu. I would come here hungry - the food is great and you’ll definitely want room for desert (we had the apple pie a la mode). Overall, a very memorable experience! Plus the gardens are lovely to walk through.

A lot to love about this restaurant. Service is second to none. They pay attention to the little things. Food was delicious but wife wished the catfish brunch item had a little more than just white rice...at least some more sauce. Appetizer enchilada was superb as were the soups. Flounder brunch was awesome. Desserts were great as well. Love this place. Will be back when in Houston.

If you're a foodie you'll love this place. Very upscale dining and the bar is good spot to drop into on weeknights for a dinner.

Great presentation of food. Interior was beautiful. Food was delicious. Staff were courteous. Perfect lighting. Seating section was good.

The food was excellent as usual. However, my wife and another of us ordered bread pudding for dessert. They were given something different (not even sure what it was). My wife hadn't been there before, so she assumed this was your take on bread pudding. When I asked about it, our waiter acknowledged the mistake, but then they brought each of them half the correct dessert. Bush league imo for such a nice restaurant.

Excellent place to take your wife or that special someone. The hospitality and service from the time we arrived and departed was superb. The food was fantastically delicious and it was cooked to perfection. WOW! A great place to dine.

Brennan's is AMAZING!!! Had our baby shower event here, and the customer experience and professionalism was top notch. A major shout out to Wally, Angel, and the event manager, Nicole. Our guests loved the ambiance, and the food was to die for. Thank you for making our day Brennan's of Houston!!

Food was excellent! Robbie Rodriguez was very accommodating. Our party was late arriving and the kitchen had closed, however he reopened the kitchen and all our guest were able to enjoy the delicious food! Thank you Robbie! Kudos to you. I wish all managers were as accommodating as you were.

A good restaurant by reputation and there wasn't anything on my visit that detracted from that reputation. However I felt that the restaurant had expectations of the customer rather than the customer having expectations of the restaurant. I.e. some arrogance.A place for special occasions, but not my style for a nice relaxed meal.

My spouse and I stopped in late afternoon, 1:30pm, for lunch. It was fantastic. We were seated in a room upstairs which had a view of the patio area. The waitstaff was great, They were very helpful with my dietary needs. We both ordered seafood dishes that were yummy! And for desert we had bananas foster. Double Yummy!

The turtle soup is incredible, make sure to say yes to the Sherry. They're famous for bananas foster, but missing the bread pudding souffle would be a mistake.

One of my favorite restaurants in Houston! Consistent with their quality every time I've been here. The food is on point with flavor and presentation, no matter what you order on the menu. Service is unbeatable, as the staff is always smiling and accommodating. The bartenders are great! Sociable and able to remember the perfect drink that they concoct for you! I always recommend Brennans to anyone that's looking for a great place to eat in Houston!

Visited last Saturday for lunch at these amazing place. It was my great experience ever in Houston. I would definitely come again with my friends and family for a lunch or dinner. Highly Recommended!

Amazing place !! I had heard from my friends that this was a great place to go for a special event and it did not disappoint. Very pricey but you get what you pay for. They had great menu choices that all sounded wonderful !

Love this place for business lunches. Table cloths, carpet and great big chairs make it easy to talk with your associates. Service is excellent. Very few places like this are left inside the loop in Houston.

Brennan's of Houston Restaurant was a first time visit for me and I enjoyed everything from start to finish. Specialty drinks were very good as were Great quality foods, comfortable setting, friendly service, and wonderful staff. 100x times over I would recommend this place..

For the price, absolutely not worth it. Made 8pm reservations. Our table wasn’t ready until 8:45pm. It took an hour and a half from the time I ordered until my food came out. Also, I ordered the duck and not only was it dry, but it also tasted like bad Chinese food.

The bartender, didn't catch his name, but he's awesome. Long salt and pepper hair, caucasian, male...very interesting to talk to. Makes great drinks. Knows his stuff. Knows a lot about Houston.

Brennan's was wonderful. The food was delicious and staff was great. We sat at the chief's table and treated like kings and queens. I would definitely go back.

Great location. Outstanding service, food, drinks and ambience. We attended very a birthday celebration and had a private room. Could not have been better.
